Meet Musician Extraodinaire Ayrosh Collo

Ayrosh Collo, a 21 year old student taking Economics at Kenyatta University. He is a singer, songwriter, actor and a radio personality who is passionate about making a mark in the Arts scene especially in the Performing Arts. Having been raised in Nairobi, Ayrosh Collo understood from an early age that he was going to end in the Arts having had interests in Fine Arts, Performing Arts as well as Music at an early age.
However, it was the latter that he ended up pursuing.

 
Although Ayrosh always had a passion for music, it was only until he decided to learn piano did he take it seriously. Here he met a pianist, Ken, a graduate in Music from Kenyatta University and the Founder of Chord of David Music Institute who helped him discover his voice as well as gave him basic music training. This was the turning point in his musical life. He later joined Kenyatta University where he continued to horn his skills performing in different forums, concerts, weddings as well as open mic events. Ayrosh has also tried his hand on event organizing where he founded The Accoustic Live Festival- a music event targeting young talent from universities in Nairobi and its environs. it is held every semester at Kenyatta University. This was brought about by a general lack of platforms for young singers to showcase their talent.

In September 2013, Ayrosh Collo joined the Artist Development Programme at Sauti Academy where he has continued to develop his talent as well as sharpen his musical skills. This has built him both as a person as
well as in experience. This is evident on stage where his mellow voice as well as
charm has made him stand out as an artist to look out for. The ladies are not complaining either. However, his musical journey has not been without challenges, nothing comes easy though and as he would say "a problem or a challenge is an opportunity for you to do something great. What is life without a bit of trouble to keep us interested?" All it takes is patience, hard work and an open mind. His music is heavily influenced by the blues, rock and neo-soul. He uses his music to tell his life story and hopes that his story might touch somebody's life and in turn bring some positive change to society in general.

Beyonce Got Cheated On!!!!

So Jay Z was not apparently Beyonce's 1st boyfriend. I was going thru some stories and stumbled upon this piece of tantalizing gossip. Beyonce’s first boyfriend was Lyndell Locke. He apparently dated Beyonce for nine years without having sex with her even once.It is said she was those church type girls from Christian homes who did not believe in sex until marriage. It was at the same time when her career was taking off when thirst got better of Lyndell and he cheated on Beyonce who dumped him eventually. It was also the same time that she met this dude Shawn Carter (Jay Z) and she never looked back. Lyndell 12 years later, took an interview with The Sun and is quoted saying “Beyonce was the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen. . . and she’d still be mine if I’d not cheated on her.”

Lyndell met Beyonce through Kelly Rowland when he was 15 and she was 13. They had big dreams of even getting married at a beach.
And the song Best Thing I Never Had sounds as though the lyrics, “So sad, you’re hurt, Boohoo, oh, did you expect me to care?” and “I thank God I dodged a bullet, I’m so over you, So, baby, good lookin’ out” were written specifically with Lyndell in mind. Ouch!

The WhatsApp Story - Rejected 5 Ago Years By Facebook, Now we Worth $19 Billion Dollars

WhatsApp feature has been all the rage with smartphone users all over the world. Here in Kenya, the app has drastically reduced the number of direct text messages sent as many are now opting to use the app which is seen cool and trendy.
The acquisition of the App by Facebook was the trending topic. But the WhatsApp journey has not been all that smooth.
WhatsApp Inc. was founded in 2009 by Americans Brian Acton and Jan Koum (also the CEO). Their App and even them themselves were shunned by a lot of people and firms including...you guessed it...Facebook.
Five years a go. Jan posted this on a forum and he was completely ignored

Brian Acton also faced it rough when he was also rejected by Facebook in 2009. This was his tweet in 2009.

The Fine Arts are greatly sidelined in Kenya and not many people get to associate themselves with them like painting. Even the education sector has downplayed the importance of the Arts by not including it in the basic curriculum. However, the significance of the Fine Arts is not lost to everybody. Basically, trees shade leaves once in a while.....these painting depicts exactly that. But the symbolism behind it is, the value of what was once there. The fallen leaves gathered, may serve some other purpose.
